(2020)
The city you call home
You once told me you loved this city
Or something along those lines
Somewhere you’d never want to leave
I was born here too
I can’t say I agree
But, I do understand home
Home resides inside you
I walk other streets
Look at other scapes
Watch another’s pace
Rest a while and embrace the unknown
There it is again, always by surprise
My mind wanders to home
My home without walls
Without buildings and bridges
Pride or stubbornness
They push me to keep exploring
If I can’t be home
Show me what else is out there
